Getting to El Cotillo
The village is only 35 minutes from the airport. At the airport there several car hire companies but better prices may be obtained if you pre book. Alternatively, we can arrange transport at a cost which is slightly below the local taxi charge. El Cotillo is easily reached by regular public transport. It is a short journey from the busier town of Corralejo using the bus service.
The capital, Puerto del Rosario, is also easily reached crossing Fuerteventura and rewards the traveller with some excellent views. If you are driving on the island, the main roads are good. There are also very picturesque routes along the coast, although these are sometimes easier to negotiate in a four wheel drive vehicle.
